non-invasive solutions

CoolSculpting

The Zeltiq Coolsculpting procedure is performed in a doctor’s office, typically under the supervision of a dermatologist or plastic surgeon

The patient and doctor first select the area or areas to be treated.

The treated area is marked and covered with a gel pad to protect the skin.

No anesthesia or pain medications are required.

The area being targeted for treatment is then gently drawn (using a special vacuum applicator) between two cooling pads.

The patient will feel a sensation of cold, a firm tug and pull– enough of a pull to ensure the tissue will be cooled most efficiently which should gradually go away as the area becomes numb. The sensation is similar to what is felt when an ice pack is placed on the skin.

The cooling pads are left in place for about an hour.

As the panels go to work in the first few minutes, the patient feels a sensation of intense cold. This soon dissipates. The patient is seated comfortably or lying down during the one hour per area procedure. Many people spend this time reading, working on their laptop, or even taking a nap.

Since the Coolsculpting procedure is completely non-invasive, the patient can return to normal activities immediately after the treatment. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness, tenderness or cramping in the treated area, but this is temporary.

The Zeltiq Coolsculpting procedure is performed in a doctor’s office, typically under the supervision of a dermatologist or plastic surgeon and there is no need for recovery time.
